Manufacturing of a Custom Traveling Frame Presses for the Agricultural Industry

Called upon for our expertise for building equipment uniquely suited to specific applications, Standard Industrial Company designed and built this custom traveling frame straightening press for a well-known customer in the agricultural industry.

This 200 ton press was designed with a 185" x 42" bed to accommodate the straightening of raw material used for fabricating large component parts found in agricultural equipment. The bridge travels at 140 ipm over a 120" width, and the press head is capable of 30" cross-travel. Specifically engineered for precision straightening, the cylinder stroke is 24" and the ram speed is 26 ipm on approach, 6 imp on press, and 34" on return. Built with safety in mind, the design is fully compliant with ANSI standards, and inCorp.orates off-the-shelf hydraulic and electrical components for easy maintenance and repair. Operationally, the 7.5 hp. press offers full hydraulic tonnage control and delivers full tonnage throughout the entire stroke.

Quality equipment demands thorough testing and inspection - dimensional and structural testing was completed during all phases of production to ensure the integrity of the design, and full operational testing was accomplished before shipment to the customer.
